Howie Shia
When Howie was sixteen, he auditioned for the Cirque du Soleil as “Hutch, the Melon Faced Boy” but was rejected because he had, despite repeated denials, a nose. People used to point and laugh when Howie told them he was an independent illustrator and filmmaker. Now they just point. (Howie is, in fact, a highly accomplished and prolific illustrator, who also dabbles skilfully in video production and music.)
