This fifth edition of Hothouse brings together 6 promising new talents from across Canada to spend three intensive months working on their first professional film within the filmmaking community at the NFB.

The films range from the poetic to the absurd, using hand-made puppets, pen-drawings, collage, photography and innovative blends of mixed techniques to create six 1-minute films.

To match the range of proposals and personalities this year we have invited, not one, but a trio of talented filmmakers to collaborate as part of the mentoring crew.
