Watch Baaad Dream

SYNOPSIS
“Baad Dream” pokes fun at selectively-bred mammoth sheep, whose out-of-proportion form makes them vulnerable to tipping over, and a very fat Farmer trying to save them until he himself tips over, with dire consequences.

This animated short was made for Hothouse 8, the NFB’s program for emerging filmmakers, whose central theme was “Sheep Dreams”.

BIOGRAPHY
Jesse Gouchey is a visual artist residing in Calgary, Alberta. He’s an animator, graphic artist, illustrator and photographer but mostly a painter. With a street art background he has combined animation skills gained at Quickdraw Animation Society with aerosol techniques to create a rare style of frame-by-frame mural animation. His film “Spirit of the Bluebird” was featured at over 40 festivals around the world including Toronto International Film Festival, Rivers Edge International Film Festival where it won “Best Animation” and ImagineNative Film Festival where it took home “Best Short Documentary”.
