Jim Verburg was born in Belleville, Ontario, and lives and works in Montreal. His work has been exhibited, screened and published nationally and internationally. He employs film, text, installation, and print to explore his love of modernist aesthetics and themes of emotion, intimacy, honesty and sexuality. Jim’s second film For a Relationship won the 2008 Jury Prize for the “Best Canadian Short Film” at the Inside Out Film Festival and has been nominated for the Iris Prize in the UK.
